Camp Verde

Settled in 1865, Camp Verde is the oldest settlement in the Verde Valley and is the home of a historic military post, Fort Verde State Park. Still a rural farming and western ranching community, you will find Camp Verde a friendly and relaxed place to call home.

In June 2018, Camp Verde became the 20th Dark Sky Community and received their Dark Sky Community recognition from the International Dark-Sky Association.

With wide-open spaces, the Verde river, a mild 4-season climate and panoramic views from the vistas above the valley. Camp Verde is the gateway to the Verde Valley wine country, with wineries, vineyards and tasting rooms spread throughout the area.

The 104-acre Out of Africa is one of the most unique wildlife parks in the world and the perfect place to bring the family. Cliff Castle Casino has been rated as the state’s best casino for over a decade, not just for its gaming and entertainment, but because it also offers venues for the entire family.
